A short shelf, and deliberately so
The most traditional preparations in this group are oils, applied to the scalp and to the soles of the feet at the end of the day. Ksheerabala and Brahmi Thailam are the classical instances. To a buyer expecting a capsule this reads as counter-intuitive; it is nonetheless the older and the better documented route.
We have kept the shelf short on purpose. Many products elsewhere on the store mention calm or mental wellbeing somewhere in their description, and listing all of them here would have emptied the category of meaning. These six are the ones where it is the principal purpose rather than a secondary note.
Three things to understand first
- Applied oils — Warmed and worked into the scalp, usually in the evening. Messy, pleasant, and the most traditional option here.
- Ashwagandha — The single herb most people already know. Taken as a capsule, and the simplest opening on this shelf.
- Ksheerabala 101 — Not a massage oil. This one is classically taken internally in measured drops — read the directions and ask a physician.
Always read the label and directions on the pack you receive, and speak with your physician before starting anything new — particularly if you are pregnant, nursing, managing a health condition or taking prescription medicine.
