Digestive formulations are the oldest and best-documented group in the formulary, and the one where instruction is most exact. Most classical kashayams here are taken before food, diluted as the label directs. That is not a nicety of presentation; it is how the preparation is held to act, and it is the detail a first-time buyer most often lets slip.
