Maha Tiktakam Kashayam is a kashayam in tablet form, prepared to the formula recorded in Ashtanga Hridayam Chikitsa Sthana, Kushtha Chikitsa (the Maha Tiktaka formulation, used as kashayam in the Kerala tradition.
Classically it sits within regimens for the skin. Ayurveda reads the skin as a report on what lies beneath it, and works inward as readily as outward. Its named constituents include shatavari, guduchi, neem, turmeric (haridra).
It is traditionally taken by mouth. Preparations of this kind are judged over weeks rather than days.
