I’ve been gradually moving away from heavy-sulfate shampoos, and this one fits the bill. Kairali’s Amla Shikakai Shampoo doesn’t feel harsh, and after about a month of use my hair just has a more balanced texture—not flat, not frizz-city, just calmer. It also makes sense with the ingredients like amla and shikakai (both traditional hair-care herbs) listed. If you’re looking for something gentle, with natural-leaning branding, this is a very good choice.

Colored hair. I have light highlights and was worried about switching to an Ayurvedic formula. I’m pleasantly surprised, my color hasn’t faded dramatically, and the hair feels smoother and less… rough. The bottle says it’s for hair-strengthening and reduces breakage, and I did see fewer stray hairs when combing. If you’re wary of herbal meaning less effective, this product pleasantly surprised me.
